Profanity?

This is unrelated to soccer, but I realized something unfortunate last night.

My wife bought us an XBOX 360 and the game Rock Band, which I've been excited about for a long time. That's right, I was actually a drummer in my previous life before getting a real job.

But when I went to set up an XBOX Live account I ran into a bit of trouble. See, I wanted my "gamertag" to be DCUMD, but that didn't work. Surprised that that name would be taken, I tried to use "Shatz DCUMD", but that didn't work either. Then for the heluvit, I tried "ShatzDCUMDgggggggg". When that didn't work, I knew there had to be another reason.

That's when I realized for the first time that the combination of the abbreviations DCU and UMD inconveniently and unintentionally contains three letters in the middle that happen to create a crude nickname for a bodily excrement. I've been running this blog for three months now and I never noticed that. So how come Microsoft noticed it right away? Apparently my name is profanity.

Get your mind out of the gutter, Microsoft.

The name I settled on is ShatzDCU. So if anyone is looking to start up a Rock Band of United fans, hit me up.
