Supporters' Shield

Or judging from this picture, maybe I should call it the Pontiac Supporters Shield??

Thanks, Rapids. That's our second straight SS, and fourth in club history, which is at least twice as many as any other team. Let's just take a minute to think about the fact that New York and New England have NEVER won the Supporters Shield, but teams like the Miami Fusion and Tampa Bay Mutiny have.

So then I'm wondering who we start this weekend against Columbus. It could definitely be a good opportunity to rest anyone still struggling with nagging injuries (Fred, Olsen, Namoff?), and anyone who might be in card trouble. It's not a bad idea to play a few Reserves to get them some playing time, but I don't want to play too many, because I still want to win this game. It's never a good sign to "back in" to the playoffs.

So I'm thinking something like...
Perkins
J. Carroll, Boswell, McTavish, Burch
Mediate, B. Carroll, Gomez, Moose
Kpene, Emilio

With Dyachenko in for Gomez, Addlery in for Kpene, and DeRoux in for one of the wide midfielders at some point.
